Question Apache Update - To EasyApache or No?

I'm planning on updating the Apache install on my dedicated server to make a couple of security tweaks, compile with Suhosin, etc. This server has WHM installed and is thus equipped with EasyApache.

Question for the pros out there; if I were to recompile apache manually, would that effectively break everything else on the server, and should I just stick with EasyApache? Does it matter either way?

I've done Apache updates in the past on servers without WHM, I just don't want to cheese the whole box because WHM gets cranky about Apache being rebuilt outside its sandbox.

    Thanks in advance!

Since you have cPanel installed on your server, I would suggest you to stick with EasyApache to avoid any messup. EasyApach also provides option for Suhosin. You can install Suhosin using EasyApache.
