    VPS help?

I am not sure what to name this issue I am having so I will just explain it and hope someone can help as I am to the end of the list of things I can think to try.

    The Issue:
When I goto any site on my VPS (example: www.mindseedlabs.com) it will take about 15-20 seconds to begin its loading of the page. This happens only the first time I try to load the site, then from page to page it is quick, unless I let it sit for 15 or so minute, then a refresh or click to a new page does that same thing.

This also solves the resolving for other domains on the same server, until 15 minutes or so goes by. (or at least seems to)

    Things I have tried:
I have tried to restart different services, restart the whole VPS, etc. I have also contacted support and had them run test on the server and they said that everything looked good. (Ticket# 12984359)

    My Thoughts:
My thought now is that there is something set up wrong with my nameservers, currently ns1 and ns2.tarlabs.com

I have then over at godaddy, on that domain I set up ns1 and ns2 in the 'hosting summary' section to point to the 2 IP addresses I got with my server.

Seemed to work and be right, but there is still a big delay in loading once every 15 minutes or so.

Thank you anyone that takes the time to think about this for a little bit and throw their 2 cents into the melting pot of possible things to try.

    On a side note:

I would suggest you open a support ticket for the issue if you have not already. The forum is more of a customer helping customer rather than a way to get help that support needs to be involved in.

Have you tried running a tracert to see if there's timeouts anywhere? Have you been able to confirm that this is just happening to you? Or is it happening to your visitors as well?

Yes, below is a image of the results (red marks where it took a while to continue)

I have tried this on multiple computers, platforms, ISP, and even cities. All seem to show a close result and pause.

    Hi,

    The problem is not DNS.

It's not responding to the initial request fast enough which means your VPS has too high a load or the httpd.conf needs to be tuned.
I do work for JaguarPC. If you do need help please provide your ticket number (this isn't sensitive information).

If I'm not active on the forum please open a ticket instead of PMing me. If you think the issue requires access to your server please open a ticket.
