    Sloppy transfer to Hybrid

Hi - just posting a note about my situation as this might expedite matters re support.

I greenlighted my vps to be transferred to hybrid this morning, it was completed at 9:45 am Dallas time. I'm in Australia, and JPC sales told me that the transfer would be pretty much seamless as it was from on vps to another, just picking up and moving the container.

Well, the sites in the vps have been down since the transfer, that's been 7 hours, I only have access to the PPP which is showing everything should be OK, none of the site IPs or domains resolve, and my WHM is also down. I've had clients calling me from the US as well as Australia. I'm looking like a real fool, and this is the second time I've experienced extended downtime due to tech issues at JPC in the past few weeks. The tech who handled the transfer was Awais, and it seems he might not have done any checking post transfer to see if any sites were visible. So much for seamless.

Out of all respect for JPC staff, this is crap, and I bring this matter to the forum only because last time I experienced downtime, it was the only thing that seemed to expedite attention to my problems.

    Hi andor,

Please provide me with your ticket number to check into this. Are you being transferred to different data center which involve IP changes ?

The move was from penguin to himalayas, as there was no room on the current data centre to move internally to hybrid.

All IPs have been retained - as Awais has posted on the ticket.

I can access *only* the PPP, via https://69.73.129.139:4643/vz/cp - perhaps I'm still looking at penguin?? No other ips or domains resolve. SSH is also screwed remotely.

Thanks Rizwan. Hopefully I won't be coming back to this thread, as I have succeeded in getting someone's attention!

We apologize for the long delay and downtime, I found a firewall module issue which has been corrected and domains and services are accessible now, I have checked some domains randomly and they are all loading. I will be giving detail reply in your ticket shortly, please verify the domains accessibility form your end as well.

Story ends well. Recommend Hybrid to anyone on regular vps. Worth the pain!
