ftp problems

Sometimes I use command line FTP command from Windows for little tasks. I can log into my accounts with it but as soon as I try to do a command (dir, or anything) it just hangs and times out. I also tried logging in using Filezilla also and same problem. If it use SFTP it works fine.

I can log into into my boss's website (different hosting company) and it works just fine either way (unsecured or secure).

Any idea what could be going on here?

This probably be caused by firewall on the server blocking FTP connections. Can you please open a support ticket with the details so that we can look into it. Thank you.
