    CentOS on VPS

What version of CentOS is currently being installed on the VPS?

I may make a change if I manage to catch it before the VPS is configured. If not then I might make it anyways and just pay the $15 but still...

I'm in the process of configuring a JagPC VPS...

    The kernel version is 2.6.18-028stab064.8-PAE

I was actually wondering if it was CentOS 4 or 5? If it is 5 then what minor release number?

    Vin,

Have you finally come over to the dark side and gotten yourself a VPS?

Yes, Jason. One small step for me... one giant leap for Jag-kind!

The traffic on my production web site has grown exponentially since moving to JagPC (several years ago) - in large part due to the excellent hardware and packages they offer here.

    Here's how it goes :

JagPC puts me on a shiny new server. Everything is fine for a year or so. The traffic grows... and grows.. and grows. Eventually, my production site starts killing the server. At that point, it's time to upgrade or take a hike.

Thankfully, JagPC is 1-stop shopping! As you know, they offer everything from low-end discount web hosting to fully-managed dedicated servers.

    Soooo...

It was time to sh!t or get -- that's all -- and I decided to go the VPS route.

I guess I'll be killing myself now, instead of my neighbors! LoL!
