    Smile cpanel email quota status

I was just wondering if anyone has had issues with email quota's not refreshing? Our account seems to have issues with one account in particular that has email storage of 900mb or so out of 1gig allowed. His email client is set to now save messages on the server, spam can on server is pretty much empty and along with other email folders. I just don't get where the 900mb is coming from now. Or is this just usage per day, month etc.?

Email address disk usage in cPanel should show the amount of emails stored at the time of calculation and not a per month or per day usage, however this may not always be accurate since it is not calculated on run time. You can open a ticket in support so that we can check and regenerate email quotas for you for an accurate figure on the usage.

Jawad nice to see you around!

I don't mind resetting / restarting email server if that may help clear it. What command would I use?

    Thank you so much.

You can remove the maildirsize file for email@domain.com in /home/user/mail/domain.com/email/ folder and then run the following script.

    /scripts/generate_maildirsize --confirm --force user

To regenerate quota for all accounts, you can run this.

    /scripts/generate_maildirsize --confirm --force --allaccounts

If this doesn't work, you may backup and remove the file /home/user/cpanel/email/email_accounts.yaml, log out of cPanel and log back in.
