    domain IP question

I created a new account on my VPS and gave this account it's own IP address.

If I browse to the domain using it's name it works fine. If I type the IP address into the browser I get the "cPanel WHM Success screen". Is this normal? Shouldn't the IP act the same as the site since it's assigned to the site?

Yes, the IP should load the site since it is dedicated to that. Most likely it is due to Apache's configuration that needs a rebuild. Please open a support ticket and techs will look into it. Thank you.

Are you using the account name in the URI?

    Example: http://1.2.3.4/~account/

AFAIK, that's the only way an IP addy will work.

    Correct me, if I'm wrong...

If a site is on dedicated IP, IP address should show the site as well. Sites on shared IP/s will show the default page.
http://1.2.3.4/~account/ will work if 'Apache mod_userdir Tweak' in WHM >> Security Center is disabled.
