    Email account issues

I have a customer who is receiving an IMAP error: Unexpeectged condition from IMAP server, closed or corrupt connection to IMAP. Possible mailbox corruption.

I submitted a ticket with his login info. Supports reply is his mailbox is too full as it is 79mb in size. His quota is set to 250. It's not evan half full. I replied back to escalate my ticket. Second support replies he believes it's the mailscanner service and asks me to disable and try it. This service is working correctly on all accounts. This is the only account having email troubles. I don't believe this is the issue. I would like support not pointless suggestions as I don't know if we are getting anywhere with this.

Now my LFD on my firewall is failing since support has logged in.

Can someone else help? Ticket: 13051817

    atechstl,

Large mail box can at times cause similar error irrespective of total quota of the email account, but I will check your ticket and will update the ticket on what I can find for the related email account.

I've spent the last two days trying to troubleshoot an IMAP timeout problem on enterprise (reseller server). What I found is that the client was set to use SSL (port 993), and has done for quite a long time. It looks like that has gone away in the last couple of days, causing connection problems, and TLS (or no security) works fine instead.

I've resolved the issue by switching from SSL to TLS. Why SSL went away, I don't know, and I'm not particularly worried. If the OP finds that this solves his problem also, maybe there's something in your server updates that is breaking things. Either way, I'm happy, so if you feel like looking further into it, go ahead. I won't be logging a ticket.
