    VPS management, what's covered?

"* Note #3: Server Updates - We will only update software and applications that affect the entire vps and OS. For example, if you would like a new module added to Apache for your vps. "

What's exactly covered by this note?
Can you offer free PHP 5.3 installation for example?
    2) Latest mod_sec?
    3) Suhosin?
    4) Snort?
    5) MySQL upgrade?
    6) MongoDB, CouchDB?
    7) Additional libs, ie libpcap?
    8) curl?
    9) JRE?
    10) Git?

Please clarify. I'd like to see your comments point by point, yes/no. Thank you.

P.S. Yes I know about yum install, sometimes it's not that easy though.

Only VPS with the control panel is considered as managed and Server updates are supported only for Managed VPSs. We do offer OS and Software updates *if* the OS vendor and Control Panel Vendor *officially* supports it. For example, Plesk uses OS provided packages to install PHP so at this time, CentOS 5 supports PHP 5.1.6 so thats the latest PHP version that can be installed on it. We will not be installing/supporting any update/installation that the OS/Control Panel vendor doesn't support officially under Managed Services.

VPS provides the full root access so anything can be installed unless it doesn't violate TOS/AUP. You can have anything installed at additional support charges. Every package/module has specific requirements like JRE which requires a lot of RAM to initialize JVM so not every thing can be installed unless your VPS matches the requirements.

The packages that you have listed can be installed but many of them are not supported officially by any control panel vendor. To discuss further, you can always open a Support ticket.
