    Question Correct /etc/resolv.conf for a VPS?

    What is the correct contents of the /etc/resolv.conf file for a VPS?

    I currently use:

    search nocdirect.com
    nameserver 69.73.181.168
    nameserver 69.73.181.166

    Then content you are using for /etc/resolve.conf is correct. If you are facing any problem then please open a ticket in technical support department.

    Yes I'm facing a problem, both of the above servers do not respond to DNS requests. I've opened a ticket (13262681).

    I've tracked the problem down to Reverse DNS records. For some reason, ALL our IP's/domains have lost their reverse DNS (PTR) records!!!

    There is some problem with the above jag servers then.

    Yup, my rDNS has gone missing again. This hapenned less than a month ago:

    Reverse DNS is resolving now. Few entries were missing from DNS configuration file which have been added . We are investigating how this happened.
