JaguarPC just installed an SSL Certificate on one of the sub-domains on my VPS ("secure.domain.com") and I'm receiving an error from my browser (Chrome) that the SSL Certificate does not match the name of the server ("localhost"). There have been a few times, however, that the error does not appear and the SSL connection appears fully secured.
I see 2 A records for the sub-domain in my DNS, 1 that points to the dedicated IP for the domain and 1 that points to the shared IP for the VPS. Could this be the reason the SSL is *sometimes* not appearing to match the server name? Should there be 2 A records for a sub-domain?
Here is what I see in my DNS:
I'm new to managing my own DNS so thank you in advance for your help.Code:secure A 1.1.1.45 //shared IP secure A 1.1.1.67 //dedicated IP www.secure A 1.1.1.45 www.secure A 1.1.1.67
