SSLs and VPS

I plan to invest in an SSL certificate in the future. I am assuming I can purchase an SSL certificate from any SSL certifier and have it work with my JPC VPS without issue, correct?

What is the procedure for enabling an SSL? Can I do it myself or is it an involved process that is best handled by JPC tech support?

Anyone have experience with an SSL on JPC VPS? Who did you get your SSL certificate from and would you recommend them?
