Rsync

I am new to VPS hosting and have a few questions on what is possible with the server.

I have setup WHM and Cpanel and all seems to be going well but wanted to know if it is possible to setup a RSYNC connection to the server so i could backup my Synology Diskstation to a folder on the server?

Also when i go to "Manage Accounts" off the JaguarPC Dashboard and then click on "Control Panel for vps.mydomain.com", under options, it opens a page https://vps.mydomain.com:4643 but the page cannot be displayed. Is this control panel available to VPS accounts and what does it do?

Hi,

Yes, it is possible to setup rsync connection to/from your VPS. If you need to sync your data once in a while you can do it directly through SSH by providing the root password and if you need to so sync data on regular basis you may neet to setup ssh keys (public key authentication) and then setup a cron job to do the sync.

Secondly, there are two type of VPS plans, a VPS with VZPP (like https://vps.mydomain.com:4643) which is based on Virtuozzo platform and the other VPS without VZPP but with AdminPanel, this is based on SolusVM (OpenVZ) based.
