SSH is timing out on the new port I assigned (followed the secure and optimize guide)

I updated /etc/ssh/sshd_config to a new Port, and the Listen address to the primary IP address I was given *.*.*.100.

The port was updated to 9550, and I updated /etc/services ssh ports from 22 to 9550.

Now I get the error:

tyler@inspiron:~$ ssh root@69.73.165.100 -p 9550
ssh: connect to host 69.73.165.100 port 9550: Connection timed out


Did I miss something?

It looks like you haven't opened new SSH port in firewall. If you have WHM and csf installed in your vps, you can open new SSH port in firewall from WHM >> ConfigServer Security&Firewall. Or you can open a ticket with support so we can check it for you.

Well, I guess I don't have CSF installed, as I do not get a security&firewall option in WHS...
What exactly is CSF? How can I install it?

If APF firewall is installed in your vps, it is not recommended to install csf without uninstalling APF first. It is better to open a ticket with support, so we can check if there is any firewall already installed in your vps and we can assist you with the CSF installation.
