Upgrade to CentOS6

What version of CentOS is being installed now in the VPS?

I need some libraries that come with that version and now I have CentOS5. Can I upgrade to CentOS6?

You should be able to upgrade to CentOS6.

I read in CentOS/RH comunity that does not support upgrades from earlier major versions, recomend a fresh install.

In my SolusVM panel in reinstall OS, i don't see any Centos6 to reinstall. Any other options? I don't like to lose my data

Foguet, I would recommend that you contact technical support. They should be able to provide you with all the necessary details and actions that will be required. Nobody wants to lose any data. It is always a good idea to backup all of your data on a regular basis and definitely back it up before you perform any major changes.

Hello,
VPS accounts with cPanel are still being built with CentOS 5. We only offer CentOS 6 on VPS with Plesk, DirectAdmin, InterWorx or no control panel at all. Unfortunately I don't have an ETA on VPS accounts with cPanel on CentOS 6.
