    new servers

We have added two new dedicated server plans to the list. These are best suited for small or starter companies and personal sites.

Please view JPC2008 and JPC2009 on our dedicated link at the top of our site.

Note: This is not the special I spoke about, that won't be revealed until hostgui is ready.

    server/email down

I'm fairly new to this service, so I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to request status report on Aletia's system. However, I can't receive or use email. And when I try to login via my domain name to retrieve my email from the server, there is an error that occurs.

    Any updates...Please advise.

    Thanks.

This would ahve been better posted to the Email Management section, but that's not important...

Please post some more info, and we'll try to help out. For example, how are you trying to get at your email--is it from a program like outlook or are your trying to do it from your website? What is the error message you are receiving? Is the address you are trying to check the main one for your account (which uses your CP username), or is it one that you set up in the CP?

Here's a few common problems with mail:
    1. If you are using an address that you set up in the CP, use the full email address (user@domain.com) as the username when you enter it into your mail program or you try to log in to webmail. If you are using the default account, only enter everything that comes before the @ sign.

    2. If you are using a program like outlook, use mail.yourdomainname.here as your POP and SMTP servers. You will also have to tell the program to use authentication when sending mail (the exact wording may vary depending on the program). Some ISP's may not allow you to use an SMTP server that they don't own, so you may have to check with them for the proper address to use if you still can't send mail.

    3. If you are getting an error that says you can't connect to the server, and you set everything up as described above, check the network status page at http://www.jaguarpc.com/network2.php and see if POP and SMTP are temporarally down on your server.
