    Wordpress 3.2 - Success anyone?

    Hi,
Has anyone got Wordpress 3.2 to work? I did the upgrade, then my admin panel would not load. So I tried all the normal stuff disabled plugins etc and no luck. So I restored a backup.

Now I installed a clean Wordpress 3.2 in a new directory with a new database and it's still not working. So I am assuming a mis-configuration with the server?

Any ideas? when I goto the admin page all I see is:

    Code:
Fatal error: Cannot run code from this file in conjunction with non encoded files in /home/[username]/public_html/sandbox/wp-includes/version.php on line 284

I saw the complaints (including yours) on wordpress.org.

I see that they are being fairly unhelpful...
    Good luck

Is APC module (Alternative PHP Cache) enabled for your account? If you can open a ticket in support queue with the account details, we can have a detailed check.

Ron: hah you noticed that too. All they every say is disable the themes and plugins.

Anoop: you think it might be the APC? I am not sure if it is enabled. Do I need it permanently disabled do you think?

I have seen this error when APC is enabled. If it is enabled, please try disabling it to confirm. If it didn't work, can you open a ticket with support?

Would there be a difference between 3.1.4 and 3.2 with regards to the cache?
    Good luck

I have tried installing latest version of wordpress in our test server and it worked without any issue. But after enabling APC module, I got a blank page with following error in the logs:

    --
[Thu Jul 07 01:22:30 2011] [notice] child pid 32434 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
    --

Once I disabled APC, it started working again.

CodeMonkeyX: Do you have both APC & eaccelerator installed in your account? If you can open a ticket we can have a detailed check.

Let me share my experience. I upgraded 7 WP sites on 6 different servers yesterday, including standard JaguarPC shared/reseller type servers, and faced problems with three

    (1) One server had MySQL 4, upgraded to 5 and all good (not a typical JaguarPC server as they are all upgraded to MySQL 5, it was a dedicated server)

    (2) Account was using php4 by default. Had to switch to php5 from cPanel > PHP Configuration (typical JaguarPC shared/reseller server with both php4 and php5)

    (3) One plugin was outdated (Tweet this). It was showing up in error logs so I could easily identify the problem. It wouldn't load any WP page or admin dashboard. I had to go into plugins folder and rename the folder so that the plugin does not load. Rest all went fine.

So if you have php5 and MySQL 5 and not many plugins or not very old plugins, you should be fine but be ready to disable any plugin.

    Hi Masood,
It seems for some reason my install is having problems with APC. The techs disabled APC on my account only via a php.ini file, and it seems to be working again. All my old plugins are working.

I am a little concerned about the performance impact of disabling APC on my account, and I do not know why Wordpress 3.2 can not work with it on my account? But for now it's working, and hopefully a fix can be found so I can enable cacheing again.
