    MSSQL Database owner

    Hello,
on my Windows VPS I am hosting several clients.
Recently I am having a client who always needs to do some advanced work on his SQL Server 2005 Express DB. He always needs support in order to do this and that, permission here, full-text-search here, etc.
He asked to change the owner of his DB, so that his user (instead of 'sa') would be the owner and he could do the work himself, however I am not sure if that is a good idea.
From a security perspective would you say that there wouldn't be an issue giving him owner rights on his DB?

    Thanks a lot.

If the DB belongs to that user then you can give him owner rights for that DB. He can also manage the MSSQL DB from WbAdmin at Plesk.

Wouldn't switching from sa be a boost to security? sa has rights to stored procedures like xp_cmdshell and to other users DBs and generally has the ability to make your life hell when run by untrusted parties.
