i know this may be a stupid question... but you are logged on as administrator correct?

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce today would cost $100, get a million miles to the gallon, and explode once every few weeks.

My scripts never have bugs. They just develop random features.

Well, this is a tough one, if you are logged on as an administrator, you should be able to do anything, including installing new hardware... Have you tried restarting in safe mode?

I've done some searching around on Google without much luck... I am not sure what you need to do about this one... Try contacting the network card's manufacturer and see what they suggest, it could be a driver incompatibility

If you uninstalled the domain controller is may have messed up active directory, check through it and make sure you a member of all the relavate admin groups. Are you logged on as the default administrator eg administrator
