Getting started with Windows VPS

Hi,

I'm new on VPS configuration so please forgive newbie question (and poor english as well).

I've just received account details for my brand new VPS...

And it's time to put a few pages online, but before, a few configuration :

When i try to reach the domain i've registered i get an error message from the browser... unreachable.
I think i should have a default page.

I'd also need to set up an FTP account to put files on the server. Is it necessary to do it in IIS or is it possible to create accounts on Plesk ( didn't find )

Once the URL will be OK, and files uploaded, i'll have to connect it to the MSSQLServer Database, is it possible to access the database with SQL Management Studio (fon remote desktop or from my own computer) ?

Hi Yann,

You can access plesk using the url https://x.x.x.x:8443 Replace x.x.x.x with your correct vps IP. Once you login to vps, you can create domain from Plesk >> Domains >> Create Domain. At the time of account creation, you can setup FTP user and password to upload files to your account.

Regarding database question, do you want to connect to the database from a remote server or connect to a database on a remote server? Please rephrase your request.

If you need any assistance on setting up the account or database connection problem, please open a support ticket with the server login details.
