Anyone else seeing this?

I had a huge increase in spam getting through to my inbox over the last month or so. I don't know if there has been a huge increase in general or if they are getting better at getting around spamassassin.

Today I had an odd occurrence; three got through all at the same time with the same subject targeting webmasters, each to a different address, two of which are kind of obscure addresses.

One is spelled out and not a link, one is a single address located on one page. They are different domains on different IP addresses, and all have their own CPanel account. Each domain is registered to a different email addy. The only similarity I can think of is that they all reside in text files of some sort on the disk partition.

This leads me to wonder if the machine has been successfully compromised and scanned. :-(

Am I missing a simpler/better explanation?
