JaguarPC is always in search of a few new talented and hard working individuals to add to our staff. Fortunately for us during one of our recent hiring drives we came across a very
technically talented candidate.
We would like to introduce Weston to our clients. He has proved to be a valuable addition. The experience and knowledge which he brings with him from one of the industry’s leading hosting backup software suppliers has allowed him to quickly step into a position as the team leader for our backup and restoration department.
Weston has been able to tackle some difficult issues with a calm and efficient hand. Additionally, his leadership has enabled the team at JaguarPC to make some integral changes and implement new procedures which have led to big system improvements for us and our clients.

What was the motivating factor that brought you to JaguarPC?
I did some research on the company and I liked what I saw. I wanted to be in a position and with a company where I could grow and evolve as a technical professional. I spoke with the amazing management staff at JaguarPC a few times after my interviews and I decided that the opportunities and challenges JaguarPC was offering me were right up my alley.
What is the best part of your Job?
The best part of my job is that I know that the tasks I do on a day to day basis help people in their darkest hour. There is nothing quite as satisfying as turning a customer’s fear that their data may be lost into relief when I can produce solid restored backups.
What activities do you enjoy when you find some leisure time?
I enjoy time with my family, video games, stand-up comedy, NFL football and reading.
Tell us a little bit about your background in the industry?
I have served many roles in the industry over the course of my career. I have done everything, all the way from stacking and racking servers in the early days to performing as a high level systems administrator support manager at industry leading software companies and acting as a systems administrator. I have been working with linux/BSD for 8 years and there has never been a dull moment yet!
What do you like most about working for JaguarPC?
JaguarPC’s leadership and management team is matched by none in the industry. They provide the best environment to learn and grow as a technical professional that I have ever experienced.
What is the biggest issue that you are encountering in the web hosting community today?
I don’t know that I encounter many big issues per say, however this is a rapidly changing industry and staying in front of the technology is always a challenge. I think we do a great job of that here.
Since you are in the backup and restoration department on a daily basis and you see issues that are vital to customers at JaguarPC, is there anything you would like to let them know?
We are currently in the middle of rolling out some exciting new things for the customers on the backup side of things, such as self restores and a more resilient backups system.
Is there any advice you would like to offer to JaguarPC clients?
My main advice to our customer base is the importance of local backups. In a disaster recovery situation keeping your own backups can help you down on downtime. Having your own backup copy also gives you more freedom when upgrading your accounts as you grow with us as a business. Having local copy in the unfortunate events of acts of war or natural disasters can be essential to your data’s survival, though we all hope that these terrible events never occur they unfortunately can.
