I mentioned in this post that Google had acquired DoubleClick. It seems that the purchase is not going smoothly. At least not from this article.
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Google’s major Internet and media rivals hope to encourage antitrust regulators to close scrutinize Google Inc.’s planned purchase of Internet ad-services firm DoubleClick Inc., according to a media report Sunday.
At issue, said executives at the companies critical of the deal, is that Google already controls the lion’s share of the market for Internet-search advertising and related contextual ads; according to the report.
It appears that companies like MS (who wanted to buy DoubleClick) are not going to take this acquisition lightly.
